Family Works Central

Family Works is the name being adopted by Presbyterian Support Central as the service brand for its community child and family services.

In adopting the Family Works name, we at Presbyterian Support Central are continuing with our long standing heritage and our local strengths. We remain proud of the work we have done, and ever mindful of our commitments to our clients, past as well as present.

Family Works services is about empowering communities, families/whanau to help themselves as they face the inevitable challenges of family life, and working in partnership with them so they can flourish to reach their full potential. And, we work from the values that:

• We all need support at some stage in our lives

• Strong, self-sufficient families are the best places to grow happy and healthy children

• The family is the backbone of each and every community

• The strength of each community are the people

We continue to offer the same services we always have – but now also have the opportunity to add additional services where necessary and be even more responsive to local needs.

In the lower North Island, Presbyterian Support Central has Family Work centres in Taranaki, Wanganui, South Wairarapa and Upper Hutt. Each Family Works centre delivers services tailored to meet local community needs.
