PROVIDING ESSENTIAL SERVICES TODAY FOR TOMORROW'S GENERATIONS IN OUR COMMUNITIES

At the heart of our work is understanding that life is challenging, that the role of parents is crucial, that families are the best places to grow happy, healthy children and that families are the backbone of each and every community.

We work alongside families as they inevitably face challenges and support them to flourish.

Core beliefs:

• That the best interests of children and young people are paramount

• That families are usually the most influential in bringing about change in their children's lives

• That support for families is important so that children's need for continuity and attachments are met by remaining within their own family or whanau whenever possible

Family Works is an approved child and family support service and community service under sections 396 and 403 of the Children, Young Persons and their Families Act 1989.

Our services are free, confidential and available to all children,  young people (up to 17year olds) and their families.
