Counselling & Social Work Support Individual and family counselling for children, young people and their families. Assistance with parenting, support to manage children's behaviour and advice and advocacy for families.

Foster Care Short-term, emergency, respite and longer-term care for children who are unable to be cared for by their own families/whanau. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please contact Family Works Invercargill.

Temper Tamers Programme For children aged 7-10 years to learn positive ways of dealing with their feelings, particularly their anger; and for parents/caregivers to learn skills to help support their children.

Grief Groups For children aged 7-12 years and their parents/caregivers, where there has been bereavement or a separation/divorce.

Buddy Programme A mentoring programme for children aged 4-12 years, whose life circumstances indicate the need for extra adult support. If you are interested in training to become a Big Buddy volunteer, please contact Family Works Invercargill.

Parenting Programme
Ten sessions of 2 hours each cover the various aspects of child development and the relationships between children and parents.

Strengthening Families Service: The goal is to improve life outcomes for children, young people and their families through agencies meeting, planning and working together.

Family Assessments: For clients of Child, Youth and Family Service under the Demand Management Strategy.
